In a world grappling with overconsumption and mounting waste, Love Tomorrow’s partner Oxfam offers a powerful solution through their second-hand donation programme. By giving your clothes and household items a second life, you contribute to a circular economy that benefits both people and planet.

Making Space for Meaningful Impact:

Oxfam’s second-hand initiative creates a virtuous cycle of sustainability, social inclusion, and global solidarity.

By collecting and redistributing quality pre-loved items, Oxfam ensures that unwanted possessions find new homes, reduce waste in landfills, provide affordable goods to those who need them, create meaningful employment in Belgium, and generate crucial funding for transformative projects worldwide.

Oxfam processes approximately 4 million kilograms of textiles annually, with the highest quality items (about 12%) going to Oxfam’s second-hand shops, while other good quality items (53%) are directed to pop-up shops in Belgium and selected projects in countries like Senegal and Rwanda, creating entrepreneurial opportunities for women in these regions.

A Comprehensive Approach to Circular Economy

Oxfam’s second-hand programme accepts a wide range of quality items including clothing, shoes, accessories, toys, books, music, and decorative items. Their transparent approach acknowledges the challenges of textile quality, with approximately 30% being recycled and only 5% ultimately becoming waste—a testament to their dedication to maximising the value of every donation.

Love Tomorrow: Championing Everyday Actions

Love Tomorrow spotlights this Oxfam initiative as it perfectly aligns with a shared vision for a more beautiful future. The transformative potential of simple choices—like donating unwanted clothes—can catalyse profound change toward ethical action and sustainable practices.

The future demands a more circular approach to consumption. Join the movement by dropping your quality pre-loved items at an Oxfam Second-hand Shop (not a World Shop) or container near you. Every donation fuels the journey towards a more sustainable, just, and beautiful future. Individual actions translate into lasting change that benefits communities locally and globally.
