Daniela Bohlinger is a trailblazer in the sphere of sustainability. As the ex-Head of Sustainability Design at the BMW Group, her work has been instrumental in driving forward-thinking solutions for a greener future. Known for her proactive involvement in the BMW Group’s in-house think tank “Project i”, which gave birth to the BMW i3, Daniela’s role was pivotal in the strategic growth of the company.
She has now transitioned into a new role as a corporate strategist in the innovation and research department at BMW, further enhancing the company’s sustainability agenda. But Daniela’s work extends beyond BMW. She’s also a respected professor at the Umeå Institute of Design (UID), where she cultivates future design thinkers.
Daniela’s journey started with a master’s degree from the renowned Pratt Institute, earned as a Fulbright scholar. She holds additional degrees from UIDH Helsinki and the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Applied Sciences. Today, she is a voice of authority, pushing for responsible design and actions across industries.
