Dominique Palmer, born on 7th October 1999, is not your average university student. This dynamic young woman studies Political Science and International Relations at the University of Birmingham, all while championing the cause of climate justice. Originating from London, Dominique’s activism journey sprouted from the School Strike for Climate Movement, leading her to become one of the UK’s most influential youth environmentalists.
Her activism underscores the importance of intersectionality and marginalised communities within the environmental movement. Dominique is a staunch advocate for legislative change, significantly contributing to the passage of The Wellbeing of Future Generations Bill. Her work in harnessing music and the arts to inspire climate change awareness is highly recognised.
Co-founder of the initiative ‘Pass The Mic’, Palmer tirelessly fights against systemic climate inequality and eco-anxiety in young people. Her voice echoes globally, inspiring action and hope for a more sustainable tomorrow.
