Professor Marc Noppen has been the visionary CEO of the University Hospital Brussels (UZ Brussel) since 2006. A distinguished physician, pneumologist and proud PhD holder from the University of Brussels (VUB), he’s a fervent advocate of healthcare innovation and passionately committed to making a difference in patient-centred care.
His tenure at UZ Brussel has seen the hospital’s remarkable expansion and modernisation, even as the institution maintains its unwavering commitment to patients. Beyond his clinical and administrative roles, Noppen has been a vocal and determined advocate for preventative healthcare, voicing the need for greater investment in research and education.
Throughout his illustrious career, Noppen has enhanced his knowledge and expertise through additional courses in Pharmaco-Economics and Hospital Management. As a visiting professor at various prestigious foreign institutions, he continually shares his wisdom and experiences with the next generation of healthcare leaders.
In 2022, he chaired the Council of University Hospitals of Belgium, cementing his influential role in shaping the future of healthcare in the country. His commitment, leadership, and advocacy will be an inspiring force at the Love Tomorrow Conference.
