Inge Neven

Inge Neven serves as Chief Executive Officer of VITO, one of Europe’s leading independent research organisations in the fields of cleantech and sustainable development. With a background in bioengineering, specialising in precision agriculture and chemistry, and an MBA in general management, she brings a rare combination of scientific rigour and strategic leadership. Her career spans consultancy, international NGO work in Africa, and senior roles at IMEC, including Chief of Staff and Chief Information Officer. She also played a vital public role as Head of the Health Inspectorate in Brussels during the COVID-19 crisis, coordinating regional prevention and response efforts. At VITO, she is focussed on accelerating the transition to a more sustainable society by fostering innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and applied research.
