The next line-up of groundbreaking keynote speakers are here. Love Tomorrow 2024 is set to be a day of inspiration. With CFOs, engineers, philosophers and more; the stage will be full of some of the brightest minds of sustainability across varied careers, all with the goal of making the world a better place.

Lieven Annemans

The key to happiness is something people have long been searching for. Luckily for us, Lieven Annemans is an expert. Senior professor of Economics of Health and Well-being at Ghent University, guest professor at the Vienna School of Clinical Research, past chairman of the Flemish health council, and conductor of fascinating research on optimising population health, with a focus on well-being and happiness; this is just some of the impressive experience Annemans holds and employs to discover the way we view happiness.

Lucien Engelen

Lucien Engelen aims to transform healthcare from the outside in. As CEO at Transform.Health, he is an innovation strategist, exploring how retail can save the industry. Lucien is also an author on healthcare innovation and public speaker, sharing his knowledge with captivated global audiences. Alongside this, he is an ambassador for International Nursing Innovation. All of this experience allows him to utilise over 30 years of experience assisting organisations, corporations and governments worldwide in his varied career to advise top-level stakeholders on their innovation and transformation strategies.

Daan Annemans

There’s no denying that society needs guidance towards a healthy relationship with digital tech. Daan Annemans has dedicated his career to this. As a designer, philosopher of technology and founder of Altruïs (based on his thesis of altruism), Daan’s mission is to aid people and companies with discovering this crucial element. In a rapidly changing world, striking the balance has become a matter of crucial importance; the health of our population relies on it.

Anouk Lagae

Anouk Lagae’s varied career is fuelling her desire for change. With over 20 years of strategy and innovation with brands like Unilever and Coca Cola, a personal passion for health, studies as a phytotherapist in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and most recently CEO of Accent; Anouk’s mission to create a more balanced and re-connected world is backed by years of innovation across the industry. Anouk’s role as CEO has illustrated just how much the health and wellbeing of employees helps both the team and the company thrive. As Thomas Edison said, “The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease”

Jean-Marc Vandoorne

Sustainable agriculture is undeniably a key to a brighter, better planet. Since Jean-Marc Vandoorne took the helm as CEO at BioFirst in 2009, the company has asserted itself as the world leader in biological crop protection and the innovations are changing the world through healthier ecosystems and communities. The method employs the importance of nature protecting nature, using the ever-involving industry to sustainably feed the growing population of the planet.

Wim Audenaert

MSc and PhD degrees in environmental engineering, an impressive academic career in environmental science and tech, and now co-founder of AM-Team; Wim Audenaert has dedicated himself to finding innovative solutions to global problems. The Ghent-based tech scale-up develops globally unique computer models and digital solutions to tackle the water industry’s biggest challenges, completing projects in 22 countries. The ground-breaking work earned global recognition, receiving the Water Europe Innovation award for two years, as well as the Changemakers 2024 Award by De Tijd and L’Echo.

Glenn Van Olmen

Glenn Van Olmen is dedicated to working towards a sustainable future in a financially sustainable way. Since 2021 Glenn has been Director of Finance & Procurement at Aquafin, the sewage treatment company in Flanders, and has managed the financial flow to transform the way wastewater is used. Cooling and heating buildings, generating green energy, recovering phosphorous, and even using wastewater as a source of drinking water… there are so many possibilities with it, crafting a more sustainable and circular world.

Birte Raes

“Research is not a solitary journey. You go out, listen to each other and make the best of it together.” This is what R&D engineer Birte Raes believes, and she has put this into practice across her career. With a dedication to sustainability and environmental protection, Birte has spent the past 5 years at AquaFin, the Flemish company transforming the way wastewater is used. Her deep understanding of the motivations of stakeholders has provided necessary nuance as she has propelled the research in both local and European projects.

Eva Smets

Eva Smets has dedicated her career to creating a fairer future. With over 15 years as a humanitarian aid worker in Central and East Asia, a role in New York as the Director for Watchlist on Children and Armed Conflict and eventually her current role as Executive Director at Oxfam België in 2018, Eva uses her first-hand experience to change the world. Earlier this year, Smets also wrote “Kantelen”, in which she shows how a just approach to our economy, climate and social care is needed, necessary and achievable.

Jan Dobbenie

Jan Dobbenie discovered the value of hard work from a young age, and this would be a theme throughout Jan’s varied career. With a masters in Applied Econimic Sciences, Jan spent years teaching unemployed people functional analysis for VDAB, providing vital tools to transform lives. In 2018, Jan became CIO of VDAB, giving back to the community by providing digital tools for job seekers in Belgium. Jan believes that success is all about teamwork; without the appropriate help and tools in place, trust can’t be built.

Ernich Sahan

Ernich Sahan has an extensive career in leadership, spanning decades and impressive roles in various companies. CEO of the World Fair Trade Organisation, seven years at Oxfam leading campaign and programme initiatives, roles in Procter & Gamble; these positions have built the foundations for his role leading the incredible work at Doughnut Economics Action Lab. By employing the necessary bold and ambitious solutions, the company is transforming the way businesses work to help meet the needs of people across the planet.
